Hollywood's striking writers have been given a Golden Globes boost by America's top designers--they'll auction off clothes the stars wear on the red carpet to aid their cause. Designers taking part in the Red Carpet Suites events held at the Luxe Hotel in Beverly Hills in the week leading up to the Globes will hand over cash raised from auctioned items to the Writers Guild of America's Strike Fund. The fund helps those writers in financial need after almost nine weeks on strike. If the strike continues until the Oscars in February, the same designers will auction off clothes their star clients wear to the Academy Awards, too. Actor Sean Penn and wife Robin Wright are divorcing after 11 years of marriage. According to People.com, the divorce was confirmed by the couple's spokesperson Mara Buxbaum. The Mystic River star married Wright in 1996 and they have two children together: Dylan Frances, 16, and Hopper Jack, 14. Penn began dating Wright in the early 1990s and they starred onscreen together in the 1997 movie She's So Lovely and Hurlyburly the following year. One of the ultimate babefests – the Cannes Film Festival in the south of France – ended triumphantly as the babes just kept coming. Who cares about the awards, frankly, when you have the magnificent Czech supermodel Petra Nemcova dancing around Canned in a frilly white mini-dress with plunging neckline without a care in the world. And why should she have – after finally dumping the ridiculous James Blunt. We were a bit shot of hot babes at the serious end of the business with Four Months, Three Weeks & Two Days, a serious story about the hazards of trying to get an abortion in Communist Romania in 1987, winning the Palme D’Or for best movie. There was, however, a glimmer of glamour in the final awards as the impossibly cute 34-year-old Korean stunner Jeon Do-Yeon picked up best actress award for her role in Secret Sunshine, about a mother whose only child is kidnapped and murdered and who decides to visit the murderer in prison to forgive him. Sounds a great movie, but more importantly she’s a great babe we hope to be seeing a lot more of. Angelina Jolie, Sharon Stone, Devon Aoki, Lily Cole, Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, Kylie Minogue, Mischa Barton, Eva Mendes, Eva Green, Jessica Simpson, Bar Rafaeli, Rose McGowan…the list of stunning A-list babes decorating the red carpets or just lying on the beach in bikinis must have achieved some sort of babe record. We can’t wait until next year.

Hallelujah and praise the Lord! We’ve waited a long time for this day and it’s finally here – Petra Nemcova has finally got rid of the ridiculous James Blunt. We thought the Czech firecracker had lost leave of her senses when she first got together with the charmless crooner and thought she’d soon dump him, especially if he tried singing his crass songs to her. But no, their relationship dragged on…and on….and on. We looked at her – successful supermodel and one of the hottest babes in the entire world. Then we looked at him – bedraggled one-hit wonder relying on rhyming clichés – and thought ‘What CAN she see in him?!?’ When they turned up for red carpet events together it was frankly EMBARRASSING. Fair play if she likes a bit of rough, but why not go get a punk rocker or something not a scruffy posh boy who deals in banalities. Anyway we are delighted to inform you that Petra Nemcova and James Blunt are no longer an item. The official reason is they were both so busy and spent so much time apart working in different ends of the globe that they couldn’t sustain a relationship. We daren’t look at Petra Nemcova at the mo for fear she’ll have that prize buffoon James Blunt dangling on her arm staring at her wotsits, but we took a gamble at the Golden Green pre-Oscar bash and yep, there was the weaselly little teapot all over her. It’s a good cause and everything and it’s great Petra is showing public concern for the environment and she charmed the pants off everybody she met wearing a very attractive blue mini-dress (he boyfriend on the other hand was in t-shirt and jeans and looked like he was the gardener). Petra, love, just get rid of him. The clothes, the beard, the songs, the smug toothy grin on his face whenever he’s around you…it’s HORRIBLE! It’s not like Petra’s not got anything else going on in her life. She’s set to present her own reality fashion show this year and she’s fast becoming one of the world’s best-paid supermodels. Has the pulsatingly stunning Petra Nemcova finally seen the light and dumped the odious James Blunt? Oh let’s do hope so! Petra, the wonderful bouncing Czech, may be forgiven her aberration in seeing anything remotely attractive in the dreary rich boy singer after her horror experience in the tsunami which killed her boyfriend Simon Atlee, but it seems that after six months she may finally have given him the red card. That’s the hot rumour in babeworld anyway and it’s not before time. She’s Petra Nemcova, for goodness sake, one of the hottest supermodels in the world and he’s just a scruffy old crooner who got lucky and may have turned Petra’s head by singing You’re Beautiful to her.
